I ordered these boots, delivery was little longer than expected, after reading reviews as I wanted a wider fitting boot when they finally arrived they came in a clear plastic bag not a shoe box, I tried them on liking the look of them lovely colour but they were definitely NOT WIDE FITTING! I am a size 5 and wear a Tresspass walking shoe and must admit they come nowhere near as comfortable as them. I would recommend going a size bigger if wearing walking socks, as for waterproof I cannot comment but from experience they probably OK for normal light rain doubt very much they are not suitable for heavy downpours and walking over streams etc. The style and colour I would give 5 stars but for overall feel and description of them I'm giving 3 stars. I wont order a size bigger as it's the width I wanted. :(
Bought these for my wife. Decided to go 1/2 size up from her normal footwear. She loves them. Comfortable from the start and look good too. Can't comment on Waterproof just yet, but overall happy so far.
These are my second pair of walking boots. I like a reasonably wide fit, so I find these really comfortable. They really owe me nothing. They've kept me blister-free on 100km of Camino de Santiago, maintaining their waterproof promise even on the day we ended up traipsing through ankle-deep rain water/ cow dung mud. They also washed up almost good as new after an assault of sticky clay-coloured rainforest mud. Basically, if it's mud you're facing, these are the walking boots for the job. Plus everyone always says to me that they're a nice colour. They're quite lightweight and they have a decent amount of ankle support- a good compromise between the everything-proof leather walking boots and the more lightweight trainer-style walking shoes.
Haven’t tested in water but these boots proved very comfy on their first outing even wearing only trainer socks. Not too heavy. First walking boots and very happy with them
We are very happy to know you enjoy the new boots. We thank you very much for your time to leave us a positive feedback, is very helpful and much appreciated. Thank you for shopping with us and hope to see you soon again. Take care and stay active! Have a nice evening!
Decathlon Milton Keynes
Very comfortable, I have wider feet and they fit so nicely! Really great price, I feel like they're durable and will serve me well!
This walking boots are very comfortable and a good fit, they are also fairly light and properly watertight. I wear them for countryside and street dog walking and my feet stay dry regardless of how wet the ground or grass is. They are easy to clean too. I love them.
I bought these for my 22year old son who is just taken up hiking with me It's wet and muddy and winter is here. He has been out in them twice now and seems over the moon with them.
My last pair of Boots i had from Decathlon lasted me for 15yrs so i decided to buy another pair. These Walking Boots are like Slippers... my first walk in them i walked 6 miles... fabulously comfortable. I would definitely recommend these boots... infact i have and i know, like me, they won't be disappointed. Fabulous value too
Comfortable straight away and very pleased with them being waterproof. however, despite regular re proofing, have now started to leak. Have used them in all weathers on all types of ground as I walk my dog twice a day. Very tempted to buy another pair. Thinking about it.
I’ve had these boots for several weeks now and can’t recommend them highly enough. Completely waterproof, nonslip in the muddiest of conditions, lightweight, warm and comfortable.
Great comfortable boots. Bought for doing D of E award.
Having had two pairs of the QUECHUA men's boots, when my wife needed a new pair of waterproof boots, I bought these for her. They are used mostly for walking the dog in the woods through wet grass. She finds them lightweight and comfortable and her feet are dry.
Ordered online and got delivered to local Asda in 3 days, very comfortable and cosy boots. Returned other items with no issues and quickly refunded my money. Would highly recommend.
Good & comfortable T a reasonable price.
These are amazing boots! Wore them for a 22km hike for the first time and they remained not only waterproof but comfortable throughout. So glad I purchased these! I’ve recommended them to everyone! The look and feel great and will wear them again and again. Have yet to clean them of the mud collected but I have been reliably informed they come up like new! Best buy of 2020 for me so far ( and it’s October!)

We have classified our products in terms of performance and features for 3 levels of Mountain Walking:- occasional: about 10 hikes per year of about 3 to 4 hours in length, covering less than 10km and less than 700m in elevation gain.- Regular: about 20 outings per year. 4 to 6 hours, 10 to 20 km, 700 to 1200m of elevation gain per outing.- Intensive: more than 20 times a year. More than 6 hours, more than 20 km, 1200 to 2000m of elevation gain per outing.
The grip of our soles is certified. To be awarded certification, the boots must pass laboratory tests to assess the grip rate on different surfaces (Smooth, Rugged, Dry, Wet). To validate these tests, we assess the quality of our soles in the field, in the mountains, by a panel of representative testers over 500 km
In a laboratory, the boot is immersed in water to mid-height on a mechanical arm that flexes to simulates a number of steps. With this test we can determine a time and number of km that the boot can walk while staying dry. Then we confirm in the field or under the rain, that the shoe meets its promises.
To keep your feet dry, we advise you to use a waterproof gaiter or mini-gaiter to protect the top of your boots and prevent water, pebbles and sand from getting in.We advise re-waterproofing your boots twice a year using a re-waterproofing agent (search for ‘waterproofing’ on our Decathlon website) which will help you restore the original water-repellent qualities and help prevent stains on the outside.
The most important thing is to try on several sizes and styles of boots to find the one most suited to you!You can take a size above your usual one to prevent the toes from bumping into the toe box when going downhill, provided the foot is properly supported to avoid friction.Tip: keep your toenails short and, before a long descent, check that your lacing is tight enough to prevent your foot from sliding forwards inside the boot.
Some Decathlon stores have a test route.1. Try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. 2. Tighten the laces, taking care to correctly balance the tightening.3. Check two points:- the heel does not come up before the boot when you walk uphill.- the foot does not slide and the toes do not press against the front when going downhill.4. Try on several sizes and models.Break them in gradually to adapt them to your foot.
Blisters generally develop when the skin is weakened by friction. In order to prevent them from occurring, we recommend the following:- Choose a boot in your size (consult the size guide)- Wear the right type of socks- Lace up and tighten your boots properly- When you wear your boots for the first time, keep the outing short
A waterproof shoe will be less breathable than a non-waterproof shoe. Socks like the MH500, MH520 and MH900 with a high or medium upper (adapted to the height of the boot) are therefore preferable for wicking away perspiration and reducing friction.
The original insole in your boots is designed to accommodate most feet. A change of insole can bring:1. Improved support: some soles are preformed or reinforced to better support the arch of the foot. 2. More comfort: the insoles can also provide heat and/or cushioning.3. Longer life: restore the support and comfort of your shoes by replacing the insole each season.
Further laboratory tests were conducted to test the following elements: attachment of eyelets and webbing, assembly, toxicology, UV resistance, sole and upper component abrasion, accelerated ageing.
- Leave to air dry.- Remove dry mud with a stiff brush.- Clean marks using a brush and some warm water- Leave to dry- Spray with a re-waterproofing product to restore the water-resistance to the upper.
