Work well for men too

I ordered these because the legs are too long on the men's version. Here are the differences: - Women's 12 is the equivalent of men's 32" - At a claimed 31" (more like 32,) the leg length is perfect for me. A regular 32" inseam just isn't available for men, for reasons best known to Decathlon. - The women's version has fewer pockets, annoyingly. - The women's version has a strange integrated elastic belt. This does actually work and is comfortable, but no doubt it will lose its elasticity at some point before the trousers are worn out. It also means there's no choice of belt positions to attach things to, such as a multi-tool. You can in fact fit a leatherman on the front exposed section and it is secure enough, but it gets in the way when you bend forwards. - The women's version has a better (in my view) ankle cinch, which uses press studs rather than an elastic loop. - The fly zip is too short to be useable for a man and the flap is the opposite way round: which is vexing but not a deal breaker. It isn't noticeable to others in the black colour. All the pockets fit a smart phone but I find the higher left one the best position to still allow comfortable bending and cycling. On the other hand, a chunky man's wallet isn't so well accommodated. It does fit, but sticks out a lot because the material is thin and stretchy and the cut quite slim.
