This down jacket weighs approximately 275g in size M.35 g/m2 fabric; 15 Denier
Packs up nice and small. Lightweight and great colour. As I am long in the body could have been just an inch longer.
Really wearable and surprisingly warm considering it is so lightweight. Have worn it most days since buying it - only reach for something thicker when it is really frosty/snowy
Lovely warm jacket, that has been invaluable
This is the perfect jacket for walks, hiking. It squashed down small to pop in my backpack. Not for sub zero temperature but warm and windproof for everyday use. Also perfect for under a waterproof
Ideal on it’s own over a base layer or under a warm coat or waterproof as a mid layer. Fits well and looks good enough to wear on its own with jeans and trainers for the school run as well.
Warmth to weight ration is spot on
I've been toying with buying the North Face one for a while now and couldn't justify the nearly £200 price tag. After unintentionally noticing this in my local Decathlon, I was so surprised to see how nice it looks and fits...although with a fleece and baselayer on I had to size up to a medium to ensure it was still comfy and loose enough. I'm normally a UK size 8-10. It doesn't make me look puffy either even with the layers underneath. Great purchase!!!
Love this jacket. It’s stylish and so comfortable and warm to wear. Looking to buy another one as my daughter keep pinching it as it’s that nice.
great quality item and fantastic colour, looks more expensive then it cost
Given as a gift, recipient very happy with it.
Absolutely love this! I've a couple of similar jackets without hoods, so decided I would like one with a hood. This one was much cheaper than my others but the quality is every bit as good. Only thing that's not accurate is the picture of the colour. It's much more red than it appears on here, but I actually prefer it!
Good price , light weight and comfortable
I watched lots of reviews and was not entirely convinced that this jacket would be as good as it appeared to be, especially for the price. I decided to purchase online, fully expecting to return it. It is superb. Super warm, super lightweight, excellent fit. Even the colour, which on the screen I thought looked a bit garish, is fine. A brilliant product enhanced by the fact that it packs into its own pocket. Feel delighted that I have a down jacket without breaking the bank.
Great coat. Been wearing it to a trip to Belfast. Great that it packs down easily in its own pocket, very convenient! Also loveeee the big pockets! Not something you get often with most coats/jackets. Been wearing it in the rain -- does keep the water out! Only have an issue with the colours. I bought the blue but find the colours really garish. I struggle to find things that match my blue coat :( the navy blue is ok but looks too shiny so went for the lighter blue. I wish they did a more neutral colour for the more plainer girls. They do a grey in the men's so why not the women
Christmas present for my wife which she loves. Result!

This padded jacket, worn as a 3rd layer, has been certified for a comfort temperature of -5° during a standardised test in a thermal chamber. The model is wearing a synthetic long-sleeved T-shirt and a light fleece underneath. It works with a simulated 5 km/h wind.In our heat comparison tool, it represents 2 stars. We have also tested this model in "static" mode; the comfort temperature is +5°C in this case.
RDS or “Responsible Down Standard” is a worldwide certification issued by an independent organisation to volunteer brands. This standard enables us to guarantee the origin of the feathers in accordance with our commitment to use responsible materials. Our suppliers commit to using only goose and duck feathers bread for their meat and slaughtered before down and feather collection. To find out more: https://www.forclaz.co.uk/what-is-rds-certification
For this down jacket with its 85/15 filling, the fill power is guaranteed to be 800 CUIN or more (European standard). The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to "trap" air. So, down with a higher fill power (higher CUIN number) will occupy more space, trap more air and provide greater thermal insulation.
The durability and fill power properties of down give this jacket 3 qualities for hiking:- Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers- Ultra low weight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This saves even more weight in your backpack- Ultra-compressible
The material of the quilted jacket is water repellent. The treatment is applied to the main fabric that makes drops of water run off the surface, thereby delaying the time it takes for water to get inside the down jacket, so you have enough time to get out of the rain. We nevertheless recommend wearing a waterproof jacket over the quilted jacket in the event of prolonged exposure to the rain.
In general, do not wash a down jacket too frequently. Here are a few tips: close all the zips on your down jacket and put it in the washing machine (synthetic cycle at 30°C).In order to preserve the fill power and warmth, you can even put 2 tennis balls in the machineBe careful to set a gentle spin cycle: a fast spin cycle may create balls of feathers that are difficult to break up.
When you take your down jacket out of the washing machine it will seem as if the down has gone A tumble dryer is the best way to restore the fill power of the feathers. Put your down jacket inside with 2 tennis balls. Run 2-3 drying cycles. If you don't have a tumble dryer, you can dry your down jacket on a drying rack. Regularly turn it over and pat it.For more advice, you've come to the right place!https://www.forclaz.co.uk/how-should-i-look-after-my-down-jacket
The water-repellent treatment becomes less effective with time, washing and use. This is how to re-activate the water repellent feature of your down jacket!https://www.forclaz.ukYou can also use the care product: textile re-waterproofing liquid:https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/fabric-waterproofing-liquid-250-ml/_/R-p-308192

The trek 100 down jacket has been improved over the years thanks to all the customer reviews. Thanks for sharing! From winter 2020, the pink model (like the other light colours) will benefit from very light-coloured feathers and down. This will prevent any visually unpleasant dark areas on the down jacket when it is wet.
A tear on a padded jacket can happen when trekking and the good news is it can be repaired! You can either mend it or apply a heat-bonded patch so that the tear doesn't get any bigger and the feather/down escapes.Don't you feel at ease carrying out this repair yourself? Don't worry!
