These are good quality in terms of the fabric and, on the face of it, very good value. However the proportions are extremely weird and make them useless for me. I am a 5' 5'' tall woman of slim build and selected size 12 after checking with the Decathlon sizing guide. They were big enough for sure, going on over my trousers easily. However, whilst long in the legs, they were very shirt in the rise so that they sat well below my waistline and felt uncomfortable in the crotch. Trousers like this need to go up to the waist to ensure that they provide full coverage and rain protection. needless to say, I am returning them.
size good and comfortable
Suitable for summer
I just got these through the post with no returns slip or paper work in the package. I could tell immediately they’d be too small. Ordered an L/14 which is normally absolutely fine but these wouldn’t go past my knees
I’ve had these waterproof over trousers before & really recommend them
They have been great in heavy rain whilst cycling. Reviews are right, these are tiny. I sized up, even after using the website's "size calculator" and I'm glad I did thanks reviewers), so they don't feel so snug when pedalling. There is an adjustable cord and depending on the thickness of the trousers underneath, they have been sufficiently roomy.
Trousers were good value and a good fit.
These stayed waterproof throughout a long (21km) walk in the incessant rain. Comfortable and they have a tie waist which helps to hold them up when you buy a bigger size than you need lol. Fantastic!
Ordered a M as that is the size I always get at Decathlon (I'm usually a 10/12). They're too long for me but that's to be expected, however they're also far too tight around my thighs and bum, and although I can just about get them on, I'm not sure I'd be able to walk in them without them ripping! It's disappointing as they seemed to be exactly what I needed (a very light weight pair that packs away small) for the Lakes next week, however the sizing is just so unexpectedly small that I now don't have time to order a replacement pair and I'm not going to be able to use these ones.
Great fit but after a half day walking in the Scottish hills the water started to seep through. Would only recommend if you are looking for a cheap quick fix
The first thing I noticed about these trousers was that they would be quite long on me (5'2) and would be difficult to hem due to the velcro patches around the ankle. I ordered a medium as a size 12 but these were too tight so I will not be able to use them for their intended purpose - would advise to buy one size up. The fabric of these trousers is not very forgiving so a larger size would be more appropriate to make sure it actually fits.
I bought these pants for a trip to the Isle of Skye earlier in the year, unfortunately during a massive rain shower I discovered the zip on the pocket isn't water sealed and my leg was soaked through water coming in through the pocket! These would be perfect if it wasn't for the un-waterproof pocket.
Good fit. Comfortable. Velcro legs make for a good fit with boot/wellies or shoes.
High quality of product at an affordable price!
These were exactly what I needed, something to put over my running stuff to keep me dry on a cold and wet night before a race. Easy to remove with taking off my shoes :)

We take care of our planet to preserve nature and help preserve the pleasure of hiking.Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce this environmental impact, we chose to use a bulk-dyeing process that incorporates the colour pigments from the yarn manufacturing phase onwards.
On a scale of A to E, this jacket obtained a score of B.Our products' environmental impacts are calculated over their entire life cycle. A score is attributed to each product so that you can easily identify the most eco-friendly products within a particular family.Decathlon is a voluntary supporter of this environmentally-friendly labelling approach.
This garment has been validated in a shower test under 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower. The fabric of these overtrousers has water-repellent properties: it lets water slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight and breathable. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. What's more, all the seams are taped.
To maintain good waterproofing over time, the fabric's water-repellent properties must be restored regularly. We recommend doing this every three washes or after a dozen uses in the rain. The water-repellent property is easily reactivated by warming the fabric: either in your tumble dryer or with a hairdryer, for example, over a relatively short period. If you are washing it, it must be thoroughly rinsed.
We measure a fabric's resistance to water pressure, expressed in terms of the height of a water column in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a waterproof rating of 2,000 mm can therefore withstand the pressure exerted by a 2,000 mm water column.
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its total evaporative resistance (RET) based on the ISO 11092 standard. The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity can escape, and the higher the fabric's breathability.- RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric- 9 < RET < 12 = very breathable fabric- 12 < RET < 20 = breathable fabric- RET > 20 = little or no breathability
During sports activity, the extent to which we perspire depends on the intensity or the duration of the physical effort. If the fabric's breathability isn't suited to the type of activity/exercise your perspiration will condense inside jacket. You will feel damp insidethis is not rain coming through but perspiration vapour condensingYou therefore need to choose over-trousers in line with your activity type. This product is designed for hikes lasting several hours at a pace of no more than 5km/h.
