How do you fix a basketball backboard to the wall?
The hardware required to mount your basketball hoop set will depend on the wall where you plan to hang it. If unsure, ask your local hardware store for advice.If you want your hoop to be at regulation height, the rim should be at 3.05 m.We also recommend that you never hang from the rim to prevent weakening the mounting system.
Why use a wall mount to hang your basket?
When you mount your basketball hoop to the wall, the height cannot be adjusted and the board is flush against the wall.A wall attachment is great for family fun because it adjusts to all player ages and levels.Certain models also have a spacing system to avoid playing too close to the wall.The B300 and SB700 basketball backboards are all compatible with the Tarmak F500 mural attachment (8496982) that offers 3 playing heights.
What ball should you use?
The ball size depends on the player's age and sex.Baby basketball: size 1 to 3.Girls and boys under 10: size 5.Girls aged 10 and up, women, and boys aged 10 to 12: size 6.Boys/men ages 12 and up: size 7.If you want a very ball, go for a rubber ball. If you want a ball with a good feel, leather or synthetic are what you need.

I like that the hoop is transparent, it does not ruin the view of the brick wall. Also please consider buying adjustable wall mounting kit if you have kids of different age. I have 6 and 11 and they both can play. Moreover, even my 11y.o. son likes sometimes to play on the low settings as it allows him to play tricks which can't be done if the hoop is at a standard height.
I installed this with the Kipsta adjustable wall mount. The backboard gets regular use during the week and after about three months I've already noticed the screws holding the hoop to the backboard are loose and have been stripped, so you cannot tighten them. I am now purchasing bolts with nuts to replace the screws on this backboard. Hopefully that will make it a bit more sturdy. If I didn't replace the screws I suspect the hoop would come off the backboard entirely within 6-7 months. If you mount this directly to the wall I think it would not be an issue as the screws would mount into the wall, but with the Kipsta wall mount, the screws don't anchor into anything, they just pass through the wall mount. If I could go back, I would probably not get the Kipsta wall mount and would just have mounted this directly on the wall.
