Very disappointed.

For the past 15+ years I have been buying and wearing Lycra bibless cycling shorts which I have purchased from Decathlon, both in the UK and in other parts of Europe. I have always found them to be well designed, superbly made, with excellellent padding and a good fit. Unfortunately the Roadcycling 900 Bibless shorts I bought recently do not meet any of those qualities. The padding, while a good density, is not placed where it needs to be, hence when cycling much of it is too far up the crotch to have any value at all. The waist band is slack and the leg bands are too tight, which together cause the shorts to pull down at the back when cycling. This further exasperates the problem of the padding not providing the protection to the correct area of the body. I have worn the shorts only once, and because of the discomfort Inexperienced do not intend wearing them again. If possible I would like to return them for a refund. I have bought many items from Decathlon, and have never before been disappointed in any way. I look forward to your response to the issues I have raised.

Hi Michael. First of all, thank you for shopping with us for over 15 years! Amazing to think of the miles you've covered in our clothing. Of course, you are welcome to exchange or have a refund on the shorts if they don't fit your needs. The new range of summer clothing, including bibless shorts will be hitting our stores in March and hopefully you find the new model to be a better fit. Thank you again for your loyalty and feedback.

Extra comfort padding for long distance riders

This shorts are very comfortable with a consistent, high quality padding that will keep you comfy even for long distance rides. Resistant material and nice design.

Ultimate shorts

Don't bother after long rides. Always protect and comfort the bum. Don't rise up while riding. True to size. Don't try to buy lose shorts. Lower prise of 28 now.

XL Shorts

I bought these at nearly £30 - best thing I did. Was wearing cheaper ones as I'd just got into road cycling but its true what they say - you get what you pay for. These are way more comfy than all my others - I usually cycle 20 to 30 mile each trip and 2 to 3 times a week - no bunching or chafing and plenty padding across the contact parts between body and saddle.

Great first Gel shorts

Bought these as my foam padded shorts were a bit uncomfortable on longer rides. These make it much easier to sit in the saddle for a while longer. The size came up a tad short but I am on the cusp of a small!

Bib shorts are better

Not for long rides

Dear sir,
Thank you for feedback concerning the b'Twin 900 padded cycling shorts. It is true to say that if you are a cyclists riding in a low down position on a road bike for example then bib shorts are more commonly used. Some riders who ride in a more upright position or why simply can't get on with shoulder straps prefer this kind of short making it the best selling short in our range.
If you are not satisfied with your shorts, please feel free to return them to us with your receipt for an exchange as a similar model with the same pad is available called the Road C 900 Cycling Bib Short and come in a variety of colours.

Absolutely worst

I have purchased these as an additional pair to my Road C 500 bib shorts. Thought, as this is the top of the line, they will be a great addition to my cycling gear. Well I was wrong. The padding although is very nice and soft it is IN THE WRONG PLACE. Too far to the front. I have used them during a 70km ride and from 50th km I couldn't feel my bottom. Tried pulling them up, but this does not work. Even though I have used them I am very disappointed and will be returning because for a product that is supposed to be the best in the lineup it does not even hold up against the very entry level ones. I do not recommend this to anyone and have already advised couple of my friends they should look for something else in this price range.

Great Shorts

I bought two pairs and I am very happy with them. They get daily use and they are very solidly built, good padding and good quality of construction.

New to this cycling lark endured the first week without padding!! Saw these and they had good reviews so gave them a try now comfortable for 30 mile rides, seem to be well made, good sizing nice fit, cuffs on the legs hold the shorts in place nicely, the padding is a god send. Highly recommend these shorts

Very comfortable.

Very comfortable shorts. The gel pad is great and the leg grippers stop the shorts riding up during cycling. Only thing I would say is they were a bit tighter than I expected and would probably buy a size bigger next time.

Not impressed...

Tried two pairs of these on in the shop - Strangely, the S pair seemed larger than the M pair; the M was far too tight, while the S pair fitted much better. Is this a mis-labelling? The new style of gripper bands look (and feel) odd. It feels as though my lower thighs are being strangled... I tried a L pair too, but same result. I think I'll pass on these. One good point - They appear to share the same pad as the earlier (and better) 700s.

thank you for your feedback. This will be passed on to the clothing design team.
