Racer Cycling Helmet - Black/Neon : Our engineers have created a comfortable, lightweight, aerodynamic helmet that ventilates the cyclist's head to improve the body's thermoregulation.

Helmet designed for road cyclists or cross-country mountain bikers looking for an aerodynamic, well-ventilated helmet that's very light and durable thanks to the use of In-Mold moulding technology.

The helmet's grille and inner channels facilitate continuous air flow.

Ultra-light helmet thanks to its In-Mold moulding construction and compact size.

Easy dressing

Full turn-ring system fully covers the head ensuring fast, precise adjustment.

Van Rysel Road Cycling Helmet

This helmet did its job when I came off my bike and my head slammed into the kerb. There was a significant dent in the helmet, but I was unharmed apart from a few aches and pains for a few days afterwards. Replaced the helmet with the same one as I know I can trust it - but I don't recommend testing it like I did!!

Van Rysel Road Cycling Helmet

I only had the helmet about 1 month before it was tested in an accident. When I came off the bike, my head slammed against the kerb. There was a significant dent in the helmet, but my head was still intact. The helmet did what it was designed to do, and probably saved my life. It will be replaced with another, identical helmet as I am happy with the way it performed.

The items I bought were Very good quality but having problems at the till very slow

Not a great fit

It fits more like a child's helmet. Had to return and bought a much better fitting giro helmet.

Careful on sizing

So I took all the sizing comments on here with a pinch of salt as in my experience usually, this is people who cannot measure their heads properly. My head is 58cm this puts bang in the middle of the stated large sizing. I very nearly ordered online but when I realised the delivery times were so long and I noticed the large helmet I wanted was in stock in a local decathlon I decided to buy in person, I am glad I did! The large size helmet on my 58 cm head did fit but it was perched more on top of my head than around it so there was no protection to my forehead area at all and whilst some cyclists seem to think wearing a helmet on the back of your head exposing your forehead is correct, it is not! same as a helmet is too small, a helmet is supposed to cover as much area as possible both at the front and the rear of your skull. Luckily there was an xl helmet in the store and this fitted almost perfectly although as other people of said the helmet does seem to have a very round profile so there are slight gaps on the sides but for me, it was close enough. This XL helmet is allegedly for 59 - 62 cm this is total nonsense, I highly recommend you try this helmet on before you buy, visit a store if you can do so. On the positive side for £40 this seems to be a very well constructed, quality, not bad looking helmet on par with the big brands at a fraction of the price, as people have said there is some moaning about no being able to adjust the straps in the "triangle" or ear area, in my opinion, this is nonsense if you are wearing the helmet properly i.e. on your head covering the forehead area and not on the back of your head like a goon this area won't need adjusting in 99% of all cases. would be a 5-star helmet if decathlon actually did something about the sizing, it's not like no one has told them the last couple of years or so!

Great fit.

This helmet lives up to the description, it fits well, its comfy and very light given me full confidence in the product.

Stylish Lightweight comfortable helmet.

Exceptionally light and comfortable helmet compared to my Bell Array helmet. Classy matte navy finish with a well ventilated attractive compact design.

Premium look and feel at a bargain price

Surprisingly, the helmet looks even better than in the pictures. Fit and finish are exemplary, and the matte paintwork looks premium and quite badass. Fit on the head is a bit unconventional in that the retention mechanism protrudes quite low which results in a quite forward position, covering much more of the forehead than other helmets I've tried, but in practice that does not compromise comfort and airflow. The Aerofit 900 looks very compact on the head (at least on mine), not mushroomy as many other helmets at all. Strap buckles under the ears are non-adjustable, which might or might not be an issue depending on head geometry, but if it fits out of the box you don't need to fiddle with it anyway. Internal padding is plenty and quite comfortable. The chin straps seem like they might be detachable — the fittings on the sides of the head have teeth keeping them in place that seem accessible, but I couldn't find a way to access the attachment at the back of the head, so it might be a red herring, I haven't actually tried to detach them; if it is possible to detach the straps it would be a big plus for the helmet, as it will be possible to just wash the straps off the helmet, which is a rarity.

Perfect cycling helmet

Attracted by the reviews and brand reputation I decided to buy this product. Much better than the so called top brands on the market. Absolutely recommend it to anybody. I will be buying another two for my kids.

Aero fit 900

Quite a strange fit. Usually buy large. Have done last three helmets including this one. It is too small though. Didn’t try on in store

Hello there. Apologies for the late response to your review. This 900 model does have a slightly different fit to the previous series so it may be worth going up to the XL size, but it is a very well ventilated and lightweight helmet that looks great. Your local store or our online team (0207 064 3000) will be happy to exchange the sizes over for you.

We have designed the helmet's inner ventilation to maximise thermal regulation of the head using the "jet" effect generated by air inflows through the grill, 16 inner channels and extractor.

In-mold moulding technology and eps

The In-Mold moulding technology used in manufacturing this helmet makes it possible to mould the external polycarbonate shell during the expansible polystyrene (EPS) injection stage. This results in a structure that is much stiffer, very durable, and extremely light. The inner EPS structure absorbs the energy generated during an impact so that it is not transmitted to the skull, while the stiff external shell provides the helmet with longer-lasting durability.
