Side wall - problem

The side wall came away by the bead fortunately no damage or injuries occurred. Set the tyre back to Michelin as it was something that should have not happen with the tyre and received no reply back at all

Not for everyday use...

Comfy, good grip but too thin....ripped on the side within 3 weeks

Very comfortable, grippy tyres

Put a set of 25mm tyres on and they measure about 27mm on the rim and feel super smooth and comfortable. Brilliant for long rides, they just soak up the vibrations.

Terrible tyres

Both tyres had splits in the tyre wall, after hardly any use at all. I put them on my summer bike, which has been in storage since last July. The first tyre split in July and the second tyre split yesterday, during my first ride. I suspect the tyres were faulty. I also suspect I have no chance of a refund. I very rarely do product reviews, but felt that I owed it to my fellow cyclists, to post this one. Avoid like the plague.

No good in winter

Bought these on 23 December 2020. After 4 punctures in two rides I've put my old Gatorskins on. These are not winter tyres.

Excellent tyre

Have used these for the last two years and find no fault. Wore out the back tyre and rode with a large split for a hundred miles , no option, it still got me home! One puncture, thats all. Good grip, very comfy feel with 25s, all weathers.

Ideal year-round road tyre

The Pro 4 endurance has lower rolling resistance than the replacement Power Endurance (and than Gatorskins) and superior tested puncture resistance to the Power - plus you get excellent all-weather-all-temperature grip and predictable handling. Absolutely brilliant road tyre for everything and beats the Power series hands down for pretty much everything. Weight is very reasonable, especially given that these come up big - the 25 is more like 28mm on most rims. Older caliper brake bikes may just need to size down for clearance reasons. A steal at this price!

Great tyre, but sizing seems out

I bought these to replace some worn Schwalbe 25mm tyres and first noticed it was difficult to replace the wheel as the tyre fouled on the brake pads, with the caliper in the open position. When fitted the clearance looked fine on the frame (the bike can take 25mm tyres) though it looked close on the seat stays either side of the bridge. I didn't notice any obvious rubbing on the frame, but removed the tyre after a couple of weeks and saw that the tyre had rubbed on the frame in use. It's scuffed some of the carbon, though the tyre seems ok. I've measured the tyre with calipers and it comes out at a touch under 28mm. My daughter has some cheaper Michelin 25mm tyres and these come up at 25mm exactly when I fit them on my rims, and keep the same pressures. I've Googled to see if anyone else has problems, and quite a few reports say they come up larger than 25mm. So these don't seem to be the size as stated. As they are clearly not 25mm could I change them for 23mm? I assume Decathlon can take this up with their supplier, and I've experienced excellent customer service with you before, though never had to return anything.

Good reliable tyre

Inflate to the pressure shown on the chart and you will get a good all round tyre, plenty of grip in the wet, not much drag, and you will get high mileage without punctures.

A great balance between suppleness, light weight and p*nct*ure protection.

First puncture after 8 months

After eight months of bicycling 80 km per week I finally got my first puncture (rear tyre, of course) Couldn't find the cause. Checking the outside of the tyre I counted 15 obvious pin-holes and two small cuts in it; so maybe not too bad a tyre, saving me all those potential punctures. Fairly pleased with the tyre so bought the same again and replaced the old tyre with the new one.

Bought these as I refused to pay £42 for a certain dutch tyre, the Pro4 had a good review and lots of people have been positive about their puncture resistance. I might be unlucky but to have four puncture in a month and on the front then I have to question the reliability of the tyre. I have the expensive dutch tyre on the back and it has been great no problem for the past two years and the same for the front before I replaced it with the pro4 . I have lost my trust in this tyre now so will be replacing it.

Quick delivery many thanks

Additional Product informations

How to measure tyre wear

To measure the wear on your road tyres and to know when they need replacing, you need to inspect the tread. Signs of wear include:- tread starting to fray- the appearance of a series of micro cracks- low tread depth- the carcass becomes visible. In all these cases the tyre is worn and needs replacing.

How to remove a tyre

To remove your tyre, deflate the inner tube until no more air comes out.Once deflated, use a tyre lever to remove the tyre from the rim.

How to fit a tyre

To put the tyre back on, place one side of the tyre into the rim. Next, inflate your inner tube to approximately 30% before putting it into the tyre (inflating it beforehand reduces the risk of pinching the inner tube). Then, insert the other side of the tyre into the rim, starting on the side opposite the valve. Before inflating the inner tube all the way, check to make sure it isn't pinched between the tyre and the rim.

How to inflate your tyre correctly

Inflate your tyre carefully. The recommended pressure is indicated on the tyre's sidewall and its product sheet (available online). Before each outing, make sure that your tyres are at the correct pressure for your ride.

Tip from the pros

When inflating your tyre, make sure you inflate it to the suitable pressure for the terrain you will be riding on and, above all, the weather conditions you will be riding in. When riding in rainy weather, lower the tyre pressure to increase the tyre's traction. When riding in dry weather, you can increase the pressure for better performance.
