Very comfortable and secure

Excellent product, I used it when I went hiking to Scotland and the product overall is very comfortable, waterproof, durable on rough terrains and keeps your ankles secure.

Not bad boots for the money

Comfortable to wear. I take one size bigger with any decathlon shoe or boot. Good grip and good value for money.

Experience speaking

I have been using NH150 WP for 1 year and the rason i bought these was NH150 WP. I am wearing this in snow right now and I have stepped into mud accidentally and almost 2 3rd of boot sink. after that i had to walked another 1 hour but my socks never get wet. These are next to Wellies.

Amazingly good. Very happy with these.

Bought some new 'occaisional' walking boots. Unusually for me, not heavy leather things. I have to say, these ones are great! Light, waterproof, warm, and really comfortable - the inners are well padded to avoid 'landing shock'. Hardly knew I was wearing them. And a great price!

Great value all weather boots

These boots are great value. Kept my feet warm and dry in all weathers except for torrential downpours. Great on all terrains and I have worn them daily walking at least 6 miles a day. Happy if they last me about 6 months, they are doing the job a more expensive boot would do. Very happy with this product. Will buy another pair soon :-)

Not Waterproof in any way. Very poor!

Sorry, I have bought lots of superb Decathlon boots and been very happy but these are not waterproof in any way at all. I bought 4 pairs of these in June 2020 (Sale price) to replace my old style Decathlon boots, same price range and level, which were brilliant. These have better lace holders but the new style floppy tops, not stiff ankle support. They go soggy in wet grass almost immediately and absorb water and retain it. You can dry them but they do the same, you just get wet feet and socks, I have had better waterproof trainers. Really disappointed. I understand you get what you pay for but to use the term "waterproof" for these is false and misleading. A comfortable boot for dry ground casual walking, go near any wet ground and you will regret it.

Really impressed

Brought these as a backup for wet weather dog walking. Just back from an hours heavy downpour where puddles had to walked through as no alternative. Got home with dry toasty feet. Really impressed with them considering the price well worth every penny. When buying these also treated the wife who is wearing them at every opportunity, as she finds them really comfy and keeps her feet warm and dry.

Good but long term durability questionable

I’ve had a pair of the previous model for about a year, wearing most days for short periods all year round to walk the dog. I noticed a few weeks ago my feet kept getting wet in morning grass and saw both boots had split where the fabric meets the sole in the toe area. I’d previously been a big fan but am a bit disappointed if I need to replace every year through regular but short spell use. Ok, they are only £30 but still. I see the new model have a 2 year warranty but am unsure if the previous model did (or if I have the receipt!). I’m in two minds whether to buy again or go for a more premium brand (my previous Merrels lasted a good 8 years).

Quechua hiking boots

I am very pleased with my hiking boots, I find them very comfortable to wear all day over varied terrain.

Grippy soles on natural footpaths

The sole’s design is the result of long research carried out in our labs. It is composed of a specific rubber formula which optimises grip and traction. Since not all needs are the same, we are always looking for the best solution to develop on loose, country trails such as unpaved forest paths.

Designed for use on country trails

Our walking shoes are designed for use on off-road trails. Indeed, we choose the components of the sole and upper of our boots and test them to ensure that they are ideally suited to walking on loose trails (e.g. unpaved forest paths) or rocky trails (e.g. rocky coastal paths). Road use (tarmac) may lead to premature wear on your boots and cause discomfort. They are not suitable for mountain walking.

Laboratory tested

Laboratory tests were also conducted to test the following elements: tearing eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion resistance of outsole and upper components, accelerated ageing. These tests allow us to improve the quality of our products and prevent premature wear of our hiking shoes.

To reduce our environmental impact

For these shoes we have selected environmentally-friendly components for the outer sole. The latter is made from 30% recycled rubber.

How to choose the size of my walking boots?

Try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. Try on several models or sizes if necessary. Check two comfort points:- the heel seating- the front of the foot on a downward slopeAvoid any pressure points when fitting. Feel free to walk around the store. Gradually start using you shoes during your first few hiking trips to break them in.

The shoe/sock combination plays an important role

There are numerous causes of blisters when hiking: rubbing, a crease in the sock, moisture, a boot size that is too small or too big, etc. It is therefore important to choose the right size and to have socks made of the right material for your walking boots.

How to choose the size of my walking socks?

You need to choose the correct sock size for your feet to avoid any extra folds forming on the sock: these folds may form because the sock is too big and therefore there is too much material around your foot, or because the sock so small and is pulled towards the inside of your foot.

How to choose the fabric of my walking socks

You need to manage moisture as best you can when walking: you will sweat, it is often inevitable. If your shoe is breathable, it will wick away moisture from your perspiration. It is therefore necessary to choose a light and breathable sock as well. If your boots are relatively waterproof, you will not make the same choice to protect you from the moisture of the rain: you should prefer socks that will absorb your perspiration and then wick it away from your foot.

Which pair of socks should you wear with the nh150 mid wp shoe?

Although the waterproof membrane of these shoes is breathable, they do not eliminate the moisture of your perspiration as effectively as a ventilated shoe. You should opt for the NH100 high socks: they contain moisture-absorbing cotton and have a reverse terry-knit construction under the sock that wicks moisture away from your foot. They are high enough to protect your ankle from the shoe. It is an excellent combination to reduce the chance of blisters.

Our hiking boots are guaranteed for 2 years. Our commitment? To provide long-lasting products that you can use for all your country walks and strolls. Because the products we love the most are those which have shared great adventures with us and will continue to do so!

Your opinion is important to us!

Thanks to your feedback, we have improved the concept and design of the NH150 Mid WP waterproof shoes. For this new model, we have added an EVA interlayer sole (ethylene vinyl acetate) to improve your comfort when walking by limiting the feel of stones underfoot.

How to maintain the waterproofing of your shoes?

We advise that you use a waterproofing spray product on your shoes several times per year, to restore their water-repellent property and to prevent staining.
