I bought these boots in December 2019, I've only worn these boots occasionally and certainly not in the summer months due to them making my feet very hot. I have not worn these boots in the rain so at the time I couldn't comment about the waterproof claim. Well 21 months later I went walking across a large short grassed field and low and behold I ended up with saturated socks. I was not impressed.

With our waterproof boots, after cleaning, we do recommend to spray them with a waterproof spray several times per year, to restore the original water repellent properties.
By regularly treating your footwear with cleaners and re-proofers you are assured years of comfort and performance from your footwear.

Feel and look a bit odd, the shape is odd. I returned them
This is my second pair of QUECHUA boots. I like them because they are lightweight, comfortable and keep my feet dry.
They are very very very slippery on the wet surface. Because of that my photo camera was broken. I was passing a river, I stepped on a stone and it was very little wet, so these boots slipped and I fell into the river with my backpack and camera. They are unsuitable for hikings, because of the slippery, because you'll never know when you'll meet wet surface. But they are very light, so I liked that.
These would be the best I ever had if it were not for one single flaw. There is a seem right at the heel. And no matter what socks you wear, it rubs right against your heel. So for that reason I would not buy again and would not recommend.
Had these boot for just over 3 weeks done about 200 miles so far , really comfortable just like wearing trainers , light weight and waterproof, I strongly recommend these boots
Better than a lot of boots that cost more than twice as much. Happy with these boots - expect they will do two “seasons” of walking around 10 miles a day.
Can’t fault the boots for waterproofing, sole grip, comfort, but can fault them on the hooks for laces seem to be replacing laces on a regular basis trying different makes and types as well as decathlon’s own and they all get fraying by the second from top lace hook, anyone having the same issue any suggestions to prevent or laces to try?
As a waterproof they are excellent for value and durability. This is probably my 3rd or 4th pair (or of similar boot), They usually last me for a cople of years then downgrade them to the gardening boot before their final demise..Generally use for easy walks or walking the dog on tracks etc
got these for walking my cocker spaniel and they have been faultless and kept my feet dry.They are also very light and comfy.

Just what I wanted. Comfy and waterproof. Enjoying wearing the
Decent boots, comfortable out of the box but in my opinion - not very waterproof. I wore them for a day long hike in light rain and the soles of my feet were soaked by the end. This never happened with any of my higher end leather boots.

The grip of our soles is certified.To be awarded certification, the boots must pass laboratory tests to assess the grip rate on different surfaces (Smooth, Rugged, Dry, Wet). To validate these tests, we assess the quality of our soles in the field, in the mountains, by a panel of representative testers over 500 km
Waterproofing test
In a laboratory, the shoe is immersed in water to mid height on a mechanical arm that simulates a number of steps. Thanks to this test, we can determine a number of km (X steps) that the shoe can make while remaining dry. Then we confirm in real conditions in the field and in the rain, that the shoe keeps its promises.
Making waterproofing last longer
A shoe's waterproofing is often undermined by water getting in from the top of the shoe. To keep your feet dry for longer, it is therefore advisable to use a waterproof gaiter or mini-gaiter that will prevent water as well as pebbles, sand, etc. from getting inside through the top. It is advisable to use a waterproof spray several times a year. This restores the original water-repellent properties and prevents staining.

Which size should i select?
For hiking, do not hesitate to buy one size larger than the usual size to guarantee excellent comfort on the descent and to avoid toes rubbing at the tip of the shoe. Tip: keep your toenails short and, before descending, check that your lacing prevents your foot from sliding forwards inside the boot.
Buying tips / how do you try your boots on?
How to choose your boots: 1. Try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. 2. Tighten the laces correctly3. Check two important comfort points: the base of the heel and the front part of the foot going down. 4. Get up to walk with the boots on. 5. Try on several sizes and several models. 6. Gradually start using you shoes during your first few hiking trips to break them in.
