These fins are designed for intermediate bodyboarders and provide the ideal compromise between comfort and propulsion.

Softer materials make these fins more comfortable.Propulsion is aided by the stiffness and surface area of the blade: stiffer material and side ribs. The unisex and symmetrical shape of these bodyboard fins for intermediate riders offers a good balance between power and size. For extra comfort, we recommend wearing neoprene socks. The use of fin leashes is strongly recommended: they can be purchased separately.

Choosing the right fin size / recommended fin leashes.

Always try on your fins before you buy them.Your foot should be supported without being compressed. The strap at the back should be in contact with your heel, and your toes should not be bent.If you want to wear neoprene socks, for comfort and/or warmth, you will need to go up half a size. Don’t hesitate to try them on with and without socks when you buy!Using a fin leash, or not, will also require you to go up or down half a size.

Buoyancy

The weight of a fin needs to be such that it does not hit the surface of the water while you are kicking. These fins therefore have slightly positive buoyancy. So if one is lost, it will rise gently to the surface, making it easier to retrieve. At the same time, it’s light enough to be held underwater effortlessly when finning. This design offers both optimum movement efficiency and increased safety for the user in the event of a wipeout.

Traction in the waves

To ride along the wave on a bodyboard and not come off, you need to use your fin like a rudder. The lateral ribs on these fins give better traction on the face of the wave, allowing you to maintain a good sideways trajectory. An asymmetric fin (e.g. RIP fins) can accentuate this phenomenon. It does, however, take some practice on the part of the bodyboarder since it exerts extra twisting force on the knees, so is reserved for advanced riders only.
