I read lots of comments for this product. I found the SIZING correct, I have a narrow foot so I have put MODERATELY NARROE for width. As with other comments I found the top strap a little long but as this goes to the outside of the foot it does not interfere with riding or annoy. I found the shoe comfortable and no sign of a feeling of pressure under foot as reported. Colour very good (see and be seen).
I found these very unsuitable for use with SPD cleat, the cleat is very prominent and difficult to walk on. Shoe soles scuff easily and they are not easy to walk in even without a cleat fitted. My advice is to Only buy these to use with Look type cleats. On the positive side these are good value And a good fit
I have found these shoes have become very uncomfortable after ten miles or so ,feels like the cleat plate or cleat screws are pushing into the soles of my feet.l have checked with my hand but not able to feel anything.
I've had them for a month now, rode 500km with them. They do look great (my 1st pair of all black shoes), but I don't find them very comfortable, especially for hard and/or long rides. I usually am between a 42 and 43, but when i tried the 42s in store, they felt too tight on the left foot, so went for the 43s. After an hour or so, the feet were starting to feel a bit numb, thought I'd tightened them too much, but no. After 3 hours, it was really uncomfortable, i could kind of feel the cleats' bolts through the sole (rather weird feeling). I don't know if the fit is just not made for me or if there is something else wrong. I've had a pair of 2014 Btwin shoes that are a bit worn now, but still comfortable, i was hoping for the same with this pair, sadly not.
I have a pair of the Btwin shoes and I love them but sadly in the current climate they are in my locker at the gym and I don't have access to them so I had to purchase a new pair. I am a standard size 5 in all shoes including cycling shoes so I ordered a size 5 these shoes come up very small. The Velcro tabs are very badly placed so you are unable to close them and they flap about. I returned the original pair and order the 5.5 hoping that the strap placement was just an error, the new pair now fit in the foot however they still have the same issue with the Velcro being very small around the top strap. I believe this is so they can have the name of the shoe visible, however this makes it impossible to do up! I have kept them as they kind of fit however if I didn't have to pay for returns and had access to an alternative product I would not keep these shoes. I am very disappointed with this product
Hello. Thank you for leaving a review of this product and sorry to hear that the fit of the Van Rysel shoes is not quite right. Could I please request that you send me a photo of the shoe on your foot with the strap unable to close so that I can look in to this further?

Very comfortable to wear the fit is excellent and value for money
The shoe itself is a very good spin shoe, easy to use and put cleats on. However I think there should be some instruction on the sizing. I am a 4 shoe size and always use a 5 trainer (always get bigger) so thought getting a 38 would be perfect. They are tiny and feel more like a small 37. Definitely go for a bigger size than you expect to.
Bought these as they fitted better than Shimano RP1 at the same price. Great to be able to try on in the shop instead of guessing online. I'm usually a UK 11 or a 45; here the 46 was good with thicker winter socks. They are reasonably light and stiff, and ventilated, and felt a bit narrower then the RP1. Shimano SPD mountain cleats went on easily and adjustment is easy. My rides are up to 100 km in all weather, the longest being in the slower group in my club. Not ambling but not KoM either. I've now done about 2500 km. For the first 3 months (about 1500 km) I was very comfortable. But now I can feel the cleat screws through the fibreglass sole on the right shoe, which is causing pain as soon as 25 km into a ride. Checking inside the shoe, I can feel little bumps over the top of the bolts. The bolts are genuine Shimano so should be the standard length. The insoles are pretty thin so I am going to try replacing them, but this is disappointing because the sole is mean to be strong and stiff, so the problem should not arise. I also see some rusty marks inside the shoes as if they are held together with steel staples around the heel bed. I recommend these shoes if your mileage is low, your feet are not wide, you use SPD cleats and want a road shoe. But for £50, I expected more than six months and 2500 km of comfort, so bear that in mind.
Comfy, adjustable and does the job. Great for spin.
I bought these shoes specifically for spinning classes and they are a good shoe for this. With hindsight white was not the right colour but this is my personal preference.
No Decathlon store near me in South Wales but as I was working near Brent Cross in March I popped in the Staples Corner store to look at these. They look more expensive than they are and very well made. I was attracted to the dual SPD slots which meant I could try using Shimano MTB cleats if I didn't get on with road ones. I needn't have worried as the road cleats were fine. Road shoes can be very very expensive but these are good enough for me and very comfortable. I would not hesitate in buying them again.
Bought these shoes as I didn't want to spend a lot on my first pair of cycling shoes. I have used them twice so far and have found no issues with them. Both my rides were longer rides (20km), my only issue is that these size up small. Normally I am an EU40, but went up to a EU41 in these as I have wide feet and bunions!
I had a black one first then returned it with no drama.
Clipping-in is easy and the shoe is the perfect amount of stiffness. Because of the airflow the shoes are not ideal in temperature below 10 degrees celsius as your feet go numb because of the cold. Ordered shoe covers so hopefully that helps out. Shoes themselves would recommend.
The product is good and fits perfectly. Recommend to everyone who wants to start with cleats.
