In the kickboxing family, you can use foot gloves (for cardio boxing, for instance), shinguards (for Savate boxing), or shin instep guards (Muay Thai).So to avoid overloading your sports bag with equipment, the 500 foot guard is an adaptable product: by combining it with the 500 Ergo shinguard, you create a shin instep guard without needing to change equipment... and keeping the same level of support and protection!

"The idea is to go from foot guard or shinguard to shin instep guard without needing to take it all off. Especially working with the anatomy of the leg. That is often the downside to wearing shinguards: they move all the time, and you need to put them back in place. Here, you can warm up with the ankle support, then add the shinguard for sparring. We really wanted to offer protectors that you can forget you're wearing. The idea is that you can box, and we'll take care of protecting you."

How is protection assessed? we'll explain

A product's level of protection is based on two things: coverage of the zone to protect and shock absorption.- For protection zones, we studied the anatomy of the foot and ankle.- For shock absorption, with the help of around ten boxers, we studied the energy transferred from strikes when sparring at a moderate level.The result? The 500 foot guard absorbs shocks of 10 joules (the standard is 3 joules) to guarantee maximum protection.
