Bought this basket along with my new Elops 500 LD bike from Decathalon but basket doesnt fit the handle bars. Also the instructions supplied are pretty useless. Total waste of £20
We could manage to install the basket but during the process, we realised it was too easy to steal … which is very inconvenient for a city like London, where you have to fully lock your bike including the wheels. I wonder how everybody else uses it? Should I take the basket with me to the office, shopping, bar … everywhere?? Should I plan carefully my days to know exactly when I will really need it or go back home to collect it when I need it at some time during the day? Or is there any accessory to lock it? I hope to sort it out because it is pretty but not as pretty as an accessory to decorating my house.
Good product but wish the instructions were a bit clearer and they gave you everything you need rather than just the Allen key as not everybody has a massive variety of tools

I bought it for the new bike, but I will wait with mounting it as no instructions were provided in my parcel. On the pictures on the site, the red release button is once on top and once on the bottom, so how should it be? Plastic parts don't fit well enough with the metal basket and it can be screwed together only on one side as then the other side stands out!. It looks like the mount comes from one type of basket and a different basket was added to it with someone hoping it would fit. Well, it doesn't. I wish Decathlon was open, so I could just come and return this.
Great buy. Meets my needs exactly. Holds rainwear drink bottle. I Pod I phone and I have used it for light shopping also I use a head torch and attach my other bike light to the basket so I am well lit up at front
Sturdy enough, have only attached to bike atm. Was looking for the light attachment, then went back to decathlon pics and they is clearly 2 different baskets being shown
How do you install this basket? The instructions are not complete. It is not describing how you need to install the components on the basket itself so it can be attached to the component on the bike. It seems that the screws are too short? Can you help?
Basket is great but only downside is the current model has a yellow grip piece on the handle instead of black which is quite ugly and unnecessary. Stick to black guys it’s much smarter! Also the attachments have big red buttons which again could have been black to blend and look smarter. Designers - please take note!
Decided to change to another basket How do you remove the bracket ? What tools are needed ?
Great little basket, easy to fit and ideal to carry the refreshments in.
I was really happy with the basket when I first fitted it onto my bike. But three weeks later, the c-shaped plastic bar that hooks around the bike's handlebar stem snapped, rendering the whole basket unusable. I would not recommend this basket, the attachment is weak and badly designed.
