It's like your own mini abyss

Putting this tent up is easy, but I've not quite figured out how to put it down as of yet. It's surprisingly sturdy, and once the door is closed the inside is completely pitch black. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who has trouble sleeping in light conditions.

Brilliant festival tent

My son used this tent for a festival and said it delivered exactly as promised. It was up in seconds while his mates struggled. It was also black/dark inside and stayed dry during several rainy nights. I got legend mum points for buying this. Highly recommend.

Pop up tent

Excellent value for money, easy to use

Super Clever Tent Encore!

Now here's a Practical Demonstration of just how impressed we are with this Tent,........... We've just bought another one ! This new Tent will be used with our first 3 PERSON 2 SECOND FRESH&BLACK CAMPING TENT to be used on Trips to Spain. We will be staying near Las Negras. April /May and Sept/October in the Cabo de Gata. We're absolutely confident that these Tent's will keep us Dry. RAIN !!! Yes it Does rain in Spring Time in Andalucia. When the Sun shines we'll be Cool in the Heat. Cheer's m Dear's

Simple & Effective

Myself and my partner used this tent for a recent week-long trip to Mull and Skye in Scotland, during which time we had to cope with 12 hours of torrential rain one night and a Met Office yellow alert of 55+mph winds another. The tent coped easily with both events. We went for a 3-man as a more spacious option for two people and this proved a wise choice with plenty of room inside for sleeping mattress and other bits and pieces. The blackout feature is a good option for light sleepers like myself who wake easily in brighter tents. The pop-up nature of the tent means that you're pitched and lighting your fire when others are still connecting their poles. Criticisms? Not really any that I can think of although it's worth practicing the collapse method a few times as there is a knack to it. Highly recommended.

Good blackout but small with a low roof

As a scout leader I have seen and used a lot of different tents over the years. This tent has a mixture of good and bad points. On the plus side it is quick and easy to erect, and unlike most popups it is equally quick to take down and put away. (Though as always it is best to practice in the garden before that big camping trip). The black out effect works very well and is as good as a traditional heavy canvas tent. You won't be woken up by the light even on a sunny morning in midsummer. The main downside is that this tent is small, and the roof is very low. I think it is the smallest three man tent I have come across, and you get quite a claustrophobic coffin effect inside, especially if you use any sort of camp bed. The designers are assuming that you will sleep with your head at the opposite end to the door, as the only pockets are that end, and the light hanging loop is there, but the low roof is even lower at that end, and if you sleep that way round then it is harder to leave the tent without disturbing other occupants who might still be asleep. Overall, I would recommend it, but for two people only, and I suggest you try before you buy in your local store. (I brought mine mail order during the covid-19 lockdown without the chance to see it).

So good

Incredible how easy it is to put up and take down, the blackout is really effective, stays dry in the wet, nice features that are easy to use at the back and side where you can let light and air in in the day. The colour coded clips mean you can’t go wrong packing away, just start with the orange clip inside the tent and it all matches up from there. Great buy.

Awesome piece of kit

This tent is amazing. The blackout feature works really well and makes for a good night’s sleep with kids who are unaware of when morning has arrived. Gives a cool shaded area to use during the day, particularly when air vents are open, even during a hot (UK) summer’s day. It is so easy to erect, just a 4 clips to undo & it’s up in no time. With 2 persons on the job you can have it up and ready to go in under a minute! Packing the tent away is also easy although takes a little practice. Once confident it can be packed away in under 2 minutes. The 3 man version of the tent is very spacious, measuring just over 6 feet top to bottom and across so you can sleep as you fancy. Room for 3 persons but ideal for 2 plus kit as there’s no porch (but the XL version if you want a porch). All in all a great tent that I would definitely recommend... I’ve had loads of tents over the years & this is one of the best with great features. The black out is a game changer!

So good we bought 11 for our Scouts

I bought this in 2018 for use with the Scouts. Whilst Pop-Up tents are normally looked down upon in Scouting, this one intrigued all who saw it. It spent the first 6 months of it's life out every other weekend in the late Autumn, Winter and early Spring. It's never let a drop of rain in. It's also lovely and warm in the cold nights as well as cool in the Summer. Based on my year long review, we bought 11 more for the Scouts to use. We get awesome customer service from all at Decathlon Gateshead and we are now buying their Air Beam tents for the Scouts too. In short, my tent has been in the wilds of Northumberland for two winters and never faultered. A fantastic design and awesome service.

These tents are fantastic. I went to download festival 2019 our tent had broke and flooded and someone had to go home so they left us this tent. Not a signal leak in all that weather. 1000 people went home because of the weather. And this little thing managed to hold up

Excellent tent bad fasteners

This tent was perfect it was black out perfect for hot days and bright early mornings, this size was perfect, easy to put up, putting away not so easy, the clasp broke on day two of use and ruined it for me. Decathlon offered to replace or refund so the service was awesome!

Average tent

No good for 3 people just fit 2 in and no good if your over 5ft 10 inches because if you are your feet would stick out laying flat of course unless you like to curl up, it stays dark not as dark as I thought it would be, only used it for 3 nights and there was only a drop of rain so don't know how it would be under heavy down pours and it was a little pricey paying for name and the effect of it staying darker than your cheaper tent.

Fantastic Tent

We bought this last year as a last minute purchase before a camping trip. We chose this model specifically for the blackout feature as camping with little people. My son and I were in my Mountain Hardware geodesic (great tent itself) standard tent. We both woke at silly o'clock, whilst my wife and 3yo slept through until much later... And that has happened time and time again. When my son and I tried it... same result. It's easy to pitch and put away, supremely thought out bit of kit - well done Quechua. Only negative for me, as with all these style tents, you can't backpack with them due to the size when put away.

The fresh & black technology keeps the inside of your tent cooler and darker

Cooler and darker for better sleep!Fresh & Black is a technology patented by Decathlon that allows us to reflect the sun's rays and insulate from the light thanks to specific materials. This reduces the sensation of heat in the tent and makes it darker. To get the most out of this technology, don't forget to ventilate your tent at night!

Pitching and striking the tent

Quick pitching. The tent is free-standing: you can place it wherever you want once it has been deployed in order to choose the best location. When there is no wind, you do not have to anchor it with tent pegs. This tent is easy to fold away using the guiding system.

Mattress compatibility

Recommended tent with a self-inflating mattress or trekking mattress up to 60 cm wide.We do not recommend using inflatable mattresses, that are more than 6 cm thick, in this tent.Indeed, this greatly reduces the volume inside the tent and increases condensation inside.

Ventilation of the tent

So that air can flow and be replaced between the bedroom and the flysheet, and eliminate the natural condensation as much as possible, the tent has 2 side panels that can be pulled apart and fastened with guy lines at the side (opened from the inside). The entire rear sleeping area flysheet can also be lifted from the inside by pulling on a rope.

Waterproofing of the tent

All our tents are validated in the laboratory and in the field to guarantee the waterproofing. To do this, we put the entire tent under a 200 L/h shower for 3 hours. The flysheet is made of 2000mm Schmerber PU-coated polyester and the groundsheet is made of 120g/m² polyethylene. All the seams are sealed with thermobonded tape.

Wind resistance

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable to expose each side to the wind. A properly pitched tent with all the guy ropes properly positioned around the tent should remain habitable in wind speeds of up to 50 km/h measured near ground level (Force 6).

What does my product contain?

- 1 pre-assembled chamber- 1 waterproof flysheet- 9 pegs- 5 guy ropes- 1 cover

Our environmental approach

Mindful of the need to take action to preserve our playing fields, we are committed to reducing the carbon footprint of our products.Given the significant impact of dyeing, we chose to use greige on the flysheet of this tent.Greige means that the fabric is not dyed and is in its raw state. It is a first step towards a more responsible design and we are working to make it 100% eco-designed by 2026.

Warranty of your tent:

This camping tent was designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks per year) during your camping trips or in the countryside.Continuous exposure to UV light over a period of several weeks can damage its textile part. Our tents do not belong to the category of "garden furniture" and are not designed to be kept outdoors permanently. To maximise the lifetime of your tent, it's important to store it properly when it is not being used.3-year guarantee.

Don't throw away, repair!

Our tents are great for camping at night.Over time, they age and some parts may wear out or break. To facilitate repairs, we keep a stock of parts (tent poles, flysheets, bedrooms, etc.) so that they can be easily replaced. Don't throw away, repair !
