Our hiking designers have designed this Arpenaz 1P shelter. For 1 adult or 2 kids wanting shelter from the sun, light wind or ground insulation.

Wind resistance
We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The goal is to expose each side of the shelter to the same wind intensity. Properly pitched, this shelter remains habitable in wind speed 4, measured at 30 km/hr.
Rain protection
This shelter protects you from light rain thanks to the polyurethane-coated polyester fabric. The groundsheet protects you from damp and water run-off. Warning! The seams are not sealed, which means it does not provide protection against heavy rain.
Pitching and dismantling
Shelter with traditional pole structure. - Read the pitching and dismantling instructions, video available on the Decathlon website, - Take all the parts out of the case, - Spread out the poles on the ground and the textile cover, - Insert the front pole in the fabric sleeve up to the end, make it taut and insert it in the opposite sleeve, - Repeat this for the second pole, - The shelter is free-standing, move it and plant the 3 pegs.
Care and storage advice
Our shelters have been designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks per year) during your adventures in the great outdoors. Continued exposure to UV rays over several weeks can damage the fabric. These products are not classified as “garden furniture” and aren’t designed to be left outdoors permanently. To guarantee maximum of your shelter, it\'s important to clean it and to store it in its cover when not in use.

Sun protection
Our main fabric is made from 75D (Denier) polyester fibres, coated in polyurethane to guarantee UPF 50+ sun protection. Caution: Since some UV rays pass directly or indirectly through the front of the tent, we advise you to protect your skin.
Don\'t throw away, repair !
This tent is designed to be repairable. Spare parts and repairs are available at the workshop at your local Decathlon shop or on Decathlon.fr. Here are the reference numbers for the spare parts: - Fibreglass pole Ø 7.9 mm and 60 cm long cut to size: 8361597, - Ferrule for pole Ø 7.9 mm: 8302916, - Elastic Ø 2.5 mm - 6 m long: 1163607, - Fabric adhesive patch kit - blue: 8584596, - Fabric repair adhesive roll - blue: 8584597.

Used on the beach as a sun shade, easy to put up and take down, extremely portable (fits in hand luggage) and provides solid sun protection. Excellent value for money!
Surprisingly good!
Quite pleasantly surprised with this shelter, bought as a bit of a last minute ‘we need something’ panic purchase so we went with the cheapest option.
It packed up very small and lightweight, was easy to assemble and did exactly what it promised. Pegs held reprising well in damp sand on the beach, room for three kids (or 1 kid and 1 Labrador) to shelter from the sun.
Good value, easy to pitch and pack down wherever you need to. We’ve been using it as a sun shelter whilst camping for the dog and she loves it!
